Very insightful and emotive drawing. The innocence and longing of a child hoping to bring color and life into a world where she is surrounded by angry people. Sad but true commentary on our society. This is a very thought provoking piece. You certainly deserve the Daily Deviation!
This drawing says a lot about the world today. Not alot of people appreciate the colour and wonderful joy that art can bring to their lives and often shun and look down upon young, aspiring artist who express theirselves...
...That, or it's just some grumpy, old people who don't appreciate graffiti. XD
and you know who's going to get a talking to from the city, right?
Insightful without being preachy. It has nice texture suggesting bricks and street, and the bits of red ochre-ish color etc. are so subtle that I didn't notice them at first, but they're important to the drawing. It's like maybe nobody notices, maybe nobody wants it (being as Chesterton might say too experienced or rather too exhausted, which is the same thing), but hope is there, and it's in the person nobody notices. I really like this. Thanks for sharing it.
